Heine et al.: South Atlantic Plate model data

Complete data package of the South Atlantic rift kinematics data for the open source GPlates plate reconstruction software. The zip file contains:

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics_Coastlines.shp:
  Present day coastlines based on the GSHHS data. Shapefile format.

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics_PlatePolygons.shp:
  Closed plate polygons. Shapefile format.

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics_LaLOC.shp:
  Line data for the location of the landward limit of oceanic crust (LaLOC) used in the plate model. Shapefile format.

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics_Flowlines[xx].gpml:
  Flowlines illustrating the relative plate motions for the major plates in the South Atlantic. GPlates Markup Language format *.gpml.

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics.rot:
  Rotation model. GPlates rich rotation file format *.rot.

• Heine_SouthAtlanticRiftKinematics_FAGravityFiltered.[jpg/gpml]:
  Filtered free air gravity data. Can be cookie-cut to plate polygons in GPlates (see contained README.txt for instructions).
