NY Zipcodes and Electricity Use

The data is a json and it underpins the site http://energyzip.org/new-york, which was created for the 2013 Big Apps challenge. The data (from the US Census, Pediacities, and nyc.gov/data sites) has been parsed to provide average zipcode level electricity use, normalised by population, number of households, median income, and divided into residential, industrial and residential. The data used do come from different years, so some care must be taken in relying on fine detail.
