Land quality evalution is an important part of the overall planning of land utilization, as well as main technical basis of land use partition and factors of decision-making. The land quality geochemical evolution of Xinjiang Basin,Jiangxi Province is basically about soil' physical-chemical properties. It also takes the geological environmental background,and geographical landscape features and other factors affecting land quality into comprehensive consideration. According to the dominant feature, systematicness, independance and the principal of spatial variation, Xinjiang River Basin selects fertility and environmental soundness as assessment index, assigns the weight to these indicators by using analytic hierarchy then creates the corresponding membership function to get the function value which will be used to divide the land level. It uses the function value to divide land grade, and overlays the layer of soil type or land use type on land quality geochemical grade color map. After statistics the area and its proportion of land quality geochemical level based the superimposed results.We put forward reasonable suggestions on structure adjustment of agricultural planting, soil pollution regulation and reasonable land use.
