In this paper, a machine repair system with warm standbys is studied. There are R repairmen under N-policy vacations in the system. Balking and reneging of fault components are also considered. Differential- difference equations of state probabilities are obtained by Markov process theory and the exact expression of failure state probability is derived by using matrix theory and inverse of Laplace transform. Then instantaneous availability of the system is presented. Finally, numerical results are obtained.
