Making environmental information available is key to informing decisions, influencing actions and delivering sustained environmental improvements. The datasets have been made freely available by Defra and its agencies for your use. You can either download them as digital GIS data onto your desktop, or you can access them as an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Map Service (WMS) or Web Feature Service (WFS). The data is freely available for you to download and use, subject to the terms and conditions of the Open Government Licence (OGL). For each dataset you would like to access please select the data format you require and click 'download'. A number of datasets below are not available under the OGL and are subject to the terms and conditions of the specific licence provided. These data are freely available for non-commercial use only and require registration (indicating acceptance of the licence) prior to download. If you require access to these data please complete the registration details and select the 'Public (non-commercial)' user type.
