Emissions and pollution sources in Bulgaria

All entities producing air, water, soil emissions or any other kind of pollution are registered with the Environmental Ministry. The public registry displays information on all of them including yearly reports of the emissions, ways they were measured, location and responsible person/company. The information is contained in HTML pages and is not downloadable.

In this project I scraped the data, geotaged all locations and put them on an interactive dashboard. The data will be updated each year. It is interesting to see how regulation helped some factories decrease their emissions with a couple of hundred percent. There are some troubling cases, where independent measurements how increase of fine particle pollution, while the industry report decrease in emissions.
