This paper analyzes the types of geological disasters, geographical location, distribution characteristics of disaster, geological structure and disaster intensity of Linxia in the central of Gansu from 1970 to 2011,we found the landslide,collapse and disaster of Guanghe, in the middle east region of Linxia, Dongxiang and Yongjing, in the north of Linxia , mainly occurs in the region that the mountains are deep and the alpine are bare. Major landslide events in the winter and turn the spring period, surface melting, and humidity conditions of the lower part of the loess slope is saturated for a long time, slope instability, landslides coefficient increases, leading to major disaster events. An abrupt heavy rain in the anterior of the foot of mountain mainly caused landslides and other geological disasters.The distribution of the disaster region is Kangle County, Linxia County and Jishishan County, that the beam is cutting,vertical and horizontal,and steep terrain, gravel, stone and gravel widespread area, of that is 10 ~ 40km before the Mountains. The disaster strength function is closely related to the heavy precipitation. After analyzing the disaster characteristic, the conditions and types of disaster-caused, we got that the mainly conditions of disaster-caused for forming debris flow is stony loose mass which accumulation in watershed. http://www.j-es.org/paperInfo.aspx?ID=1178
