Based on the non-imaging optics knowledge, a compound parabolic reflector is designed. By using the reflector, the IED light can be changed from Lambert beam to a rectangular beam with the vertical angle at 120° and lateral angle at 60°, which meet the requirements of street light. The ray-tracing simulation results indicate that the LED street lamp with our designed reflector has good properties. The scope of road lighting, uniformity of illumination and Energy efficiency is up to 10m×30m, 0.51 and 96%, respectively.
