An economical remote positioning and control system is achieved based on GPS, GPRS and SCM. It contains two main component parts, which are the terminal and monitor & control center. The terminal’s GPS data are transmitted to monitor & control center by GPRS network. And in the meantime, the control information from monitor & control center is transmitted to the terminal by GPRS too. Because of the wide range of GPRS network, this system can positioning and control in very long distance in real time. The technology can be used in automatic cruise, unmanned exploration, rescue and the guidance of weapon and so on.
